Update on School site access 08-01-25
Dear Parents and Carers,
The site staff worked incredibly hard this morning to make the driveway safe for staff to access the school today. Staff arrived prepared with snow shovels and immediately began shifting snow and ice, as well as gritting the footpaths and car park.
We concentrated our efforts at the front of the school, clearing snow and gritting around half of the car park. Unfortunately, it was not possible to clear the back driveway or the car park at the rear of the school. Gritting continued into the afternoon and will resume early tomorrow morning, at which point we will reassess site access for safety.
We are confident that we will be able to open the school safely on Thursday, 9th January, for all pupils. However, we ask that ALL vehicles park at the front of the school and that no attempts be made to park at the back.
To ensure safe access and better traffic flow, we request that all parents who transport their children only travel if they feel safe to do so and aim to arrive no earlier than 9:15am. This will allow ample time for the larger buses to enter and exit the car park.
Please take care if you are on foot or driving as we know that many side roads and footpaths around the city remain very icy. There will be no late marks or absence marks issued tomorrow.
We have posted some photos of the site conditions from 6am this morning through to 3pm this afternoon onto Class Dojo and the 'Latest News' section of the website, this can be found on the 'Parent' tab.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding, please check back here for an update from 7am.
