Homework

Homework at Watermill is often an individual aspect of the curriculum being personal to the teacher and pupil. As our pupil’s work is differentiated in class, so must their homework be differentiated. Homework is more targeted to pupils needs but because of this, it may be more infrequent. Class homework’s are rarely set.

Factors that might affect the setting of homework may include:

  • The home support a pupil may receive with homework
  • Sibling or peer pressure that may be exerted on pupils with homework.
  • Parental preference is taken into account both for and against homework.

Pupils may choose to use their pupil diaries to record homework.

Please contact your child's teacher directly if you have any concerns over homework. This might include asking for more or less homework. We are always happy to discuss this with you.
