The Full Governing Body at Watermill School meets once a term. Two committees feed into this meeting consisting of a Curriculum and Resources meeting.
Our Governors are listed below. If you need to contact one of them please send a letter into school for their attention.
My name is Amy Clewlow and I am the Principal at Intuition Holistic School in Longton. Throughout my working life I have supported students who need to access their education in a different way to the traditional mainstream offer. I have always had a passion for understanding behaviour and trying to help students enjoy their time in school and achieve. I find being part of the Governing body of Watermill School to be a privilege, as the ethos of the school is child focussed and centred around the students achieving their full potential.
Frank retired from the YMCA North Staffs where he was part of the Creative Activities Team. For many years before that he worked with local Churches leading family services, school assemblies, using his skills in art, music and drama to share Christian faith and in helping develop and run community projects. He is also kept busy with five children and five grand children, and is pleased to be able to give time supporting Watermill School as a Parent
Currently Head of Apprenticeships & Skills at Stoke-On-Trent College a dedicated leader in further education with 15 years’ experience in the sector. Passionate about improving lives through the quality of education particularly in the Stoke-On-Trent area. As a qualified teacher, assessor and quality assurance practitioner with particular skills and focus on quality improvement, strategic planning, curriculum quality, design and implementation. Enthusiastic about supporting Watermill and it’s wonderful staff and students. Co-opted Governor.
My name is Claire Hill and I am currently a Year 4 teacher at Packmoor Ormiston Academy. I have been teaching for over 14 years, having taught in all year groups across Key Stage 2. I am also Maths Lead, part of the SLT and a Maths SLE. In my spare time I love walking and exploring the outdoors with my husband. We spend lots of our holiday time in the Lake District where we can usually be found at the top of a mountain! I look forward to supporting the school in my role as governor.
Jonathon was made Headteacher of Middlehurst in 2002, Heathfield was added to this role in 2009 and has now been head at Watermill from its opening in 2013. He has a particular interest in behaviour and considers himself as a systems leader, working with many educationalists and other agencies to get the best for students with SEN across the City, Nationally and Internationally.
