SCHOOL UPDATE: 5:15pm 09-01-25

Dear Parents and Carers,

The site and school staff have worked very hard throughout the day to ensure the site remains safe to access. The snow-ploughs have been out throughout the day and plenty more grit has been put down.

The overnight forecast predicts temperatures of -6°C, however we expect the main driveway to be safe to access with caution on the morning of Friday, 10th January. Please take care when entering the car park and exiting vehicles, as there is still some snow and icy patches underfoot.

All vehicles must park in the car park at the front of the school, as there is still no access to the back of the school. Local Authority Transport should operate at their usual times.

We remind all parents who transport their children to only travel if they feel safe to do so and to aim to arrive no earlier than 9:00 am on Friday. This will allow ample time for the larger buses to enter and exit the car park.

Please take care if you are on foot or driving, as many side roads and footpaths around the city remain icy. There will be no late marks or absence marks issued today or tomorrow, so please do not worry if you are running late or prefer to set off a little later in the morning.

We expect pick-up times at the end of the day to be the same as usual, but if any changes are necessary, we will inform you through the usual channels.

Please check the School App, website, or Class Dojo for updates from 7am tomorrow morning.

Sincere thanks for your support this week; it has been greatly appreciated.

Mrs Lomas, Headteacher
