Secondary Pathway 3 

Students will complete the OCN Entry Level Science qualifications which have been designed to enable learners to engage, explore, enjoy, and engender an interest in science and encourage a spirit of enquiry.

These are generalist qualifications, covering physical and life sciences, and applications of science. They help to build on subject content which would have been taught at Secondary Pathway 1 and

provides a suitable foundation for the study of GCSE and equivalent vocational science qualifications.

Students will complete the following OCN Entry Level Science units:                              

• Everyday materials
• Animals, including Humans
• Earth and Space
• Electricity and Energy
• Light and Sound
• Plants and Ecology
• Working scientifically
