School Closure on Tuesday 5th for all pupils

Dear Parent /Carer Following tonights announcement by the Prime Minister, Watermill School will close for all pupils on Tuesday 5th January. We will take this day to work out which pupils should attend school up to what looks like February Half Term. The guidance is talking about a similar model to last March that resulted in a few pupils in care and pupils with social workers attending, some on a part time rota. This allowed for much reduced numbers in classes. In light of this please do not attend school unless you are requested to do so. The vast majority of pupils are likely to have to remain at home. I sincerely appreciate that this is very upsetting and concerning. We will support free school meals and home learning to the best of our abilities, however I appreciate this is a small substitute for your child coming to school daily. Your class teacher will be in touch this week. Please contact the school via the admin@watermillschool.co.uk email or the school number directly during school hours for further guidance or support. We will cancel all school transport. with a heavy heart, Mr May
